Once you’ve completed initial driving instruction and received your CDL license, you’re still not quite ready to hit the open road on your own. At Service One Transportation, we welcome new drivers, and we prioritize their continuing education and career development.

Welcome Recent Graduates

The goal of our new driver Finishing Program is to bridge the gap between being a newly licensed CDL driver to a confident and successful solo driver ready to take their first long haul. This 4 to 6 week program picks up where traditional driver training leaves off, covering the day to day tasks real-world truck driving, including:

Preparing required paperwork
Performing required inspections
Performing regular maintenance

Mentorship

Throughout the Finishing Program, you’ll work under the guidance of an experienced driver. You’ll begin with short local runs and gradually take on longer, more challenging trips until you are ready to hit the road solo.

Full Benefits After 60 Days

As employees of Service One Transportation, participants in the Finishing Program are eligible for full employee benefits after sixty days of employment, including:

In addition, upon completion of the program, employees receive a pay increase to $15.00/hr and become eligible for additional pay opportunities and quarterly performance-based bonuses.
